Payment data — bank name, account number, and account name collected through our referral registration form for commission payouts only
Referral data — name, WhatsApp number, email, and bank details submitted via our referral programme registration
Story submissions — name, role, course attended, written story, and optional photo submitted via our Share Your Story form
Contact enquiries — name, email, and message submitted via our contact form
Usage data — basic analytics about how visitors use our website (no personally identifiable information)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only for the purposes it was collected:

To process your enrolment and give you access to your course
To pay referral commissions to registered referral partners
To publish student stories on our website (only with your explicit consent)
To respond to your contact enquiries
To send you relevant updates about your course or cohort via WhatsApp or email

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes beyond SteadyPath's own communications.

4. Bank Account Details

Bank details collected through our referral programme registration are used solely for the purpose of paying earned commissions. They are stored securely in our database and are never shared with any third party. Only the SteadyPath administrator has access to this information.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with industry-standard encryption. Our website is hosted on Netlify with HTTPS enabled on all pages.

Access to personal data is restricted to SteadyPath administrators only. We take all reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Student records — kept for the duration of your course plus 12 months
Referral records — kept for as long as you are active in our referral programme
Published testimonials — kept until you request removal
Contact enquiries — kept for 6 months then deleted

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

7. Cookies

Our website uses only essential technical cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party analytics services that collect personal data are currently active on this site.

8. Your Rights (NDPR)

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019, you have the right to:

Request correction of inaccurate data

10. Advertising & How You May Have Found Us

SteadyPath VA Academy runs advertisements on various digital platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). If you clicked an advertisement to reach our website, that advertising platform may have collected data about your interaction with the ad in accordance with their own privacy policy.

We do not control what data advertising platforms collect about their own users. We only collect data that you voluntarily provide on our website — through enrolment, contact forms, referral registration, or story submissions.

When you land on our website from any advertisement, the same data practices described in this policy apply regardless of which platform the advertisement appeared on.

We may use aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data (such as how many people visited our site from an ad campaign) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This data does not identify you personally.
